BIANCO is a creative songwriter, singer, and musical composer. The artist is known as Fernando Blanco as well. Fernando has an amazing talent to sing in various languages, like Chinese, Italian, French, and others. From very early in life, he showed a passion for the arts and studied music in several schools. He also worked in theatre, enriching his ability to perform many musical genres.

He can play various musical instruments including the guitar, piano, and cello. But, maybe his most important ability is his passionate performance on the stage which is like magic; it involves the audience in all sorts of emotions. Listening to his music and compositions it’s a true blessing.

Origin and Inspiration

During his childhood, he immigrated with his parents to New York City from the Dominican Republic. Some people say that Fernando has the tropical sun in his voice. Even when he sings in Italian or Mandarin. At the age of nine, he began to discover and experiment with African-American music, especially soul and rock. All thanks to a friend of his father who years later would share the stage with the young Fernando.

“I was very young when I first heard B.B. King, I remember that our landlord, who had a store on the bottom floor of the house, played the electric guitar and listened to soul and rock music at full volume, especially, the music of B.B. King. I never imagined, that many years later, I would be the one to accompany him playing my guitar, and appearing at various social events.”

That passion for music led Fernando to strive and learn how to make music. He enrolled in music courses and pursued all kinds of experiences related to music and singing. Even when he was still in high school, Fernando dedicated himself to continue developing more techniques to play the guitar and piano. Many years later he would be able to pay for classes with professionals and learn to play the Cello. His teachers, Justin Kantor, and Harris Becker classical guitarist would also be very influential in his musical life.
